ABOUT DENNIS JOHNSON

I grew up in a farming community where I enjoyed a “Tom Sawyer” like childhood, spending most of my time outdoors. At a young age I studied mechanics on cars, trucks, and farm equipment, becoming a pit crew member of a race car team at the age of 14. My mentors were men who cut trees, towed cars, and built their own homes from the ground up. I worked with farm tractors, livestock, building houses and repairing just about any engine that needed work. I wanted a challenge so I went on to join the United States Marine Corps at the age of 18 and graduated at the top of my class as an Engineer Equipment Mechanic. I arrived in Denton, Texas in 1986 and worked in the transportation industry for 10 years. I started as a mechanic, then as a service manager, managing 15 employees and a fleet of big trucks. I started selling residential homes in 1999 and have served hundreds of families, earning many achievement awards along the way. Following my passion for land development, I added commercial properties in 2015. I am an avid student of all things real estate and continued development both professionally and personally.
